Messiah called us to be servants. He also told us not to be called Rabbi (Hebrew for Master and Teacher) that he alone is our Rabbi. I am merely his representative, I am only a servant because of his great mercy. He taught us that as men we are all equal, none above the other. Those who elevate themselves will be abased while those who humble themselves will be lifted up.
Yet so many today who claim to be Rabbi’s and Teachers are so blind they cannot see this portion of scripture. Righteousness can only be found in humility. There is no righteousness in rising up above other men. There was a man in scripture, his name was Diotrephes and he loved the preeminence. This was condemned and is not at all spiritual.
3 John 1
9 I wrote to the assembly, but Diotrephes, who loves to be the first among them, does not receive us.
10So if I come, I shall call to mind his works which he does, babbling against us with wicked words. And not satisfied with that, he himself does not receive the brothers, and forbids those who wish to, putting them out of the assembly.
11Beloved ones, do not imitate the evil, but the good. The one who is doing good is of Elohim, but he who is doing evil has not seen Elohim.
Love is the fulfilling of the Torah, and love keeps the Torah, without the two working together, it is never love because it doesn’t support faith. Our Elohim honors faith, without that, we are doomed.
