    1 Peter 2:21 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
    21 Indeed, this is what you were called to; because the Messiah too suffered, on your behalf, leaving an example so that you should follow in his steps.

    Mark 7:9 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
    9 Indeed,” he said to them, “you have made a fine art of departing from God’s command in order to keep your tradition!

    When we label ourselves as Rabbi or other title that exalts us above other men, we have disobeyed Messiah. He told us that he alone is our Rabbi. He taught us to become as little children and serve one another. Scripture shows us that Messiah came to leave us an example to follow. He came as a servant, and lived a lowly life.

    Elohim gave Messiah the position of Rabbi (Master). Elohim does not give this position to men. Messiah taught we are not to exhalt ourselves above others and that it is pride. We are instead taught to be humble, to become as a child and be servants. None of us have the preemenice. There was one man in the Bible who tried to do that and the practice was condemnend in scripture. Preeminence is the fact of surpassing all others, superiority. Messiah taught us that we are not superior to one another, only he is our Master and we are all brothers. Those who disregard this instruction disobey Messiah.

    3 John 9-11 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
    9 I wrote something to the congregation; but Diotrephes, who likes to be the macher among them, doesn’t recognize our authority. 10 So if I come, I will bring up everything he is doing, including his spiteful and groundless gossip about us. And as if that weren’t enough for him, he refuses to recognize the brothers’ authority either; moreover, he stops those who want to do so and tries to drive them out of the congregation!
    11 Dear friend, don’t imitate the bad, but the good. Those who do what is good are from God; those who do what is bad are not from God.

    Matthew 18:1-5 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
    18 At that moment the talmidim came to Yeshua and asked, “Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” 2 He called a child to him, stood him among them, 3 and said, “Yes! I tell you that unless you change and become like little children, you won’t even enter the Kingdom of Heaven! 4 So the greatest in the Kingdom is whoever makes himself as humble as this child. 5 Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me;

    Matthew 23:8-12 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
    8 “But you are not to let yourselves be called ‘Rabbi’; because you have one Rabbi, and you are all each other’s brothers. 9 And do not call anyone on earth ‘Father.’ because you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10 Nor are you to let yourselves be called ‘leaders,’ because you have one Leader, and he is the Messiah! 11 The greatest among you must be your servant, 12 for whoever promotes himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be promoted.
